Welcome to Robertson Truffles. Our black Perigord Truffle farm has been established for 15 years, and was one of the first operating and producing farms in Australia. Typically once an oak tree is planted it takes 6-8 years to start producing truffles. Our trees were producing in 4 years! We believe we have the perfect climate at Robertson, located in the NSW Southern Highlands, to produce truffles. The town of Robertson is noted for its distinctive red volcanic soil, which is known as ‘Robertson Soil’. The combination of this soil, a lot of work and preparation, a good rainfall, and cool winters has made this perfect for truffle growing.
Our farm held the Australian record for the largest whole truffle to be harvested in 2014 – weighing in at a whopping 1.172kgs
