Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff, while warming up around the rustic firepit.
You will receive a brief introduction about the farm, truffle growing and our trees. We will answer all of your fungi related questions.
You will then walk down to the truffière for a one hour truffle harvest. You will be introduced to our experienced working dogs and all your questions will be answered in regards to training the dogs and how they help us to find our truffles. Please note this is not a staged Truffle Hunt, it is a live harvest just as we would harvest any other days. We want you to be able to feel the same excitement we do when we find the elusive truffles underground. We like to include everybody when we find a truffle, and will call you forward to help dig and harvest the truffles when found.
After our harvest we demonstrate a brief washing & grading demonstration in which we will answer any harvest related questions. Then we will sit down for a meal overlooking the truffière and taste the delights of fresh local produce and of course, our truffles.
There will be fresh truffle sales at the end of the hunt, cash & eftpos are available.
